A5 Board Approves THB 100m Share Buyback Programme to Run from May 8 to Nov 6 as Developer Optimises Liquidity

The board of Asset Five Group Public Company Limited (A5) has approved a share repurchase programme worth up to THB 100 million, covering no more than 50 million shares. Once combined with shares previously repurchased, A5’s treasury stock could represent as much as 6.73% of its total issued shares. The programme, scheduled to run from May 8 to Nov 6, 2026, is aimed at optimising surplus liquidity and enhancing shareholder returns. With retained earnings of THB 1.02 billion and a strong liquidity position, the move also signals management’s confidence in the company’s fundamentals and long-term growth prospects.
Mr. Supachoke Panchasarp, Chief Executive Officer of Asset Five Group Public Company Limited (A5), said the company’s Board of Directors Meeting No. 1/2026 had approved a treasury stock programme for financial management purposes.
The company will allocate up to THB 100 million to repurchase no more than 50 million shares with a par value of THB 0.50 each. The new buyback represents up to 4.13% of A5’s total issued shares.
According to Mr. Supachoke, the programme is intended to put surplus liquidity to more efficient use, as the company has accumulated a healthy level of retained earnings and working capital.
The buyback is also expected to better reflect what the company views as the appropriate value of its shares, while supporting improvements in return on equity, earnings per share and book value per share over the long term.
Liquidity Sufficient to Cover Debt and Buyback
A5 reported retained earnings of THB 1.020 billion as of Dec 31, 2025. Cash and cash equivalents, together with current financial assets, stood at THB 362.83 million.
The company expects to generate approximately THB 100 million in operating cash flow during the first nine months of 2026. It said the available liquidity would be sufficient to cover THB 92.91 million in debt obligations falling due, as well as fund the share repurchase programme without affecting its business plans.
“This share buyback reflects A5’s liquidity and financial capacity, while underscoring management’s confidence in the company’s business fundamentals and long-term growth outlook,” Mr. Supachoke said.
“It should also strengthen investor confidence in the company’s future potential. Having carefully reviewed the programme, we are confident that it will not affect our debt-servicing ability or planned business operations.”
He said the programme formed part of the company’s efforts to maintain an appropriate balance between its capital structure and cash flow in line with its long-term growth direction.
Buyback Price Capped at 115% of Five-Day Average
The repurchase period will run from May 8 to Nov 6, 2026, and will be completed within six months through the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s automatic order-matching system.
The repurchase price will not exceed 115% of the average closing price during the five trading days preceding each transaction. A5’s average share price during the 30 trading days before the disclosure of the programme was THB 1.84.
A5 currently holds 31.38 million treasury shares with a par value of THB 0.50 each, equivalent to 2.60% of its total issued shares.
If the newly approved programme is completed in full, the company will hold a cumulative 81.38 million treasury shares, representing 6.73% of total issued shares.
A5’s free-float ratio stood at 23.36% of paid-up capital, based on its latest shareholder register dated March 10, 2025.
